Shipping Policy

At RetroWorks, we take great pride in crafting furniture that evokes the crude aesthetic of the Industrial age and highlights the simple and natural beauty of steel, wood and glass. 

When we ship your new purchase to you, we want you to begin enjoying it immediately, which is why we are committed to ensuring that shipping is hassle-free and unencumbered with any unwelcome surprises. Your purchase will ship to you:

FREE SHIPPING

Shipping costs can generally be significant when purchasing furniture online.  However, RetroWorks has worked hard to partner with various large shipping carriers for preferred rates.  As such, we are able to offer our customers with free shipping for all of our products across North America.

Additional Shipping Details

Additionally, since we are committed to making international shipments as easy as possible for our customers, RetroWorks has completed a Certificate of Origin and our products have been classified as duty-free.  We have also taken out a customs bond, so that we will pay any duties or taxes that are incurred.  Because of this, you should not incur any unexpected costs outside of the original purchase price, taxes and shipping cost you pay upon purchase.

However, customers in the U.S. should be advised that RetroWorks will also require either their U.S. IRS Number (for corporate orders) or their individual Social Security Number (for personal orders) in order to ship your purchase to you.  This is a result of a change that the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (“CBP”) has made recently, where the system through which admissibility is determined for imports and exports, was modified to require that the purchaser’s corporate U.S. IRS or individual’s Social Security Number be provided on every shipment’s entry forms. Without this information, the shipment cannot complete entry into the U.S.A.  Please note that this information is not kept by RetroWorks but used only to facilitate shipment into the U.S.A, and that in no way will result in a duty or tax charged against your order.

All shipping arrangements will include a trackable shipping service, and a tracking number will be provided to you once your item has been shipped. 

Also, all items ship with shipping insurance, so you can rest assured that your item is covered in the event of shipping related damage.

Expedited shipping is not available. 

Our furniture will generally be delivered within 2 weeks in most metropolitan areas. 

RetroWorks Inc. currently cannot ship outside the U.S.A. and Canada, but we hope to expand to further regions in the future.  Additionally, RetroWorks cannot ship to Post Office boxes and rush delivery requests are not available.

Our furniture is carefully packaged in custom-made packaging to ensure our products are always received in top condition.

For your reference, we list our product sizes and weights, so please make sure you can get your order into your home through your doorways, halls, etc.

We ship our furniture via freight on various carriers. Freight shipping is generally curbside. Freight delivery personnel are not responsible for opening packages or delivering items inside your home.  Since our furniture is very large and very heavy, please ensure that you have someone present to assist you with bringing it inside.

Once your item is ready to be delivered, you will receive a call from a representative from the shipping carrier to arrange for the delivery.  Deliveries are generally scheduled with you between 9 am and 5 pm Monday thru Friday and a four-hour window for delivery is usually provided. 

Customers must be available during a scheduled delivery time window.  Customers are also responsible for any costs associated with a re-delivery time if they fail to be present for the scheduled delivery. 

Please inspect all pieces for damage, and if any is found, note it with the shipping company on the delivery bill, and advise us in writing of the damage within 24 hours upon receipt.  If we are not advised of the damage within 24 hours of receipt, we will consider the item to have been received in prime condition.

Finally, if at all possible, if at all feasible, we recommend retaining your product packaging.  Since we have had it custom-designed for these shelves, you may find it useful to have in the event you ever need to move.

CHANGE NOTICE: As with any of our administrative and legal notice pages, we reserve the right to modify this policy at any time.  As such, the contents of this page can and will change over time. Accordingly, this page could read differently as of your very next visit.

These changes are necessitated and carried out by RetroWorks in order to protect you, RetroWorks, our website and social media. If this page is important to you, you should check back frequently as no other notice of changed content will be provided either before or after the change takes effect.
